Supported Vehicles

Which vehicles work with Axons Mobility

Five vehicle types are ready to pick on your first day, and anything else you add yourself in a minute. Each type carries its own speed, battery and idle rules, so a golf cart is never run like a scooter. Try it free on your own vehicles for 15 days.

At a glance

  • E-scooters, golf carts, shuttles and cars, ready to pick
  • Self-driving golf carts and shuttles, in beta
  • Add any other vehicle type yourself, under your own name
  • Remote lock, unlock and ignition, matched to the vehicle
  • Driving scores tuned to how each type handles
  • Mixed fleets on one map, one price list, one set of reports

Ready on day one

Five types, set up and ready to pick

Pick a type and the vehicle arrives with sensible settings already in place. Every number below is a starting point you can change.

Anything else

Not on the list? Add it yourself

E-bikes, cargo bikes, mopeds, quads — whatever you run, you add it as your own vehicle type and set the rules it should follow. It takes a minute and needs nobody from us.

  • Name it yourself

Add e-bikes, cargo bikes, mopeds, quads or anything else under the name your team already uses.

  • Its own top speed

Set the speed the type is allowed, and riders going faster show up on your Safety page.

  • Its own low-battery level

Say when this type counts as low, so a 20% cart and a 20% scooter are not treated the same.

  • Its own idle rule

Choose how long a standing ride waits before the platform ends it for you.

  • Its own start and end actions

Pick what happens when a ride starts and ends: unlock, ignition, both or neither.

  • Everything else comes free

Pricing, zones, bookings, repairs, reports and the rider app treat your type like any other.

Remote control

What the device does depends on the vehicle

The Axons Mobility device connects to the vehicle's power and ignition, so what it can control comes from how that vehicle is built. Tell us your models and we confirm the fit before you order.

Lock and unlock

E-scooters

The ride starts by unlocking the vehicle and ends by locking it. A locked vehicle that starts moving raises a tow and theft alert.

Ignition on and off

Golf carts

The ride starts by switching the ignition on and ends by switching it off, so a cart cannot be driven between bookings.

Both together

Cars, shuttles, self-driving carts

The vehicle unlocks and the ignition comes on at the start, and both are reversed at the end, in one action.

Safety

Each type is graded on how it handles

A driving score only means something if it is measured against the right vehicle. Every type carries its own limits for braking, cornering, swerving and tilt.

  • A cart is not a car

A golf cart turns slower and stops shorter than a car, so the same corner would be harsh on one and normal on the other. Each type is graded on its own numbers.

  • Two-wheelers lean

A scooter leans into its turns, and its rider feels a force a car passenger would never notice. Scooters, e-bikes and mopeds are graded for that.

  • A self-driving cart is graded hardest

Nobody is steering it, its passengers may be standing and people walk alongside, so it gets the strictest limits of any type.

  • Crashes at road speed only

An impact counts as a crash only when the vehicle is moving at road speed. Potholes, speed bumps and falls are recorded separately.

Mixed fleets

Different vehicles, one console

A fleet can hold as many types as you like. Each vehicle follows its own rules, while your map, prices and reports cover the lot.

One Live Map

Scooters, carts and shuttles on the same map, each showing the battery and status that suit it.

Prices per type

Charge a cart by the hour and a scooter by the minute, in the same fleet.

Charging that makes sense

Low battery means a different number for each type, so your swap list is not full of healthy vehicles.

Reports that add up

Trips, revenue, usage and repairs across every type, and split by type when you need it.

Journey planners

Your vehicle types, named the standard way

Each of your types carries the standard name journey planners expect, so your vehicles show up correctly in the apps riders already use.

  • GBFS feeds publish each type with its standard id
  • MDS data for the cities that ask for it
  • A type you add yourself carries a standard id too

All FAQs

Which vehicles does Axons Mobility support?

E-scooters, golf carts, self-driving golf carts, shuttles and cars are ready to pick when you start. Any other vehicle — e-bikes, cargo bikes, mopeds or your own kind — you add yourself as a new vehicle type, and it gets the same controls, pricing, bookings and reports.

Can I add a vehicle type that is not on the list?

Yes. Add it in your console with its own top speed, low-battery level, idle rule and what should happen when a ride starts and ends. Nothing about it is second class: zones, pricing, repairs, reports and the rider app treat it like every other type.

Does the Axons Mobility device fit my vehicles?

The device fits light electric vehicles and connects to the vehicle's power and ignition — e-scooters, e-bikes, mopeds, golf carts and cars today. Tell us your models and we confirm the fit and which controls will work before you order.

What can the device do on each kind of vehicle?

It depends on how the vehicle is wired. On e-scooters it locks and unlocks. On golf carts it switches the ignition on and off. On cars, shuttles and self-driving carts it does both together at the start and end of a ride.

Can I run vehicles of different kinds in one fleet?

Yes. A fleet can hold as many vehicle types as you like, and each vehicle follows its own type's speed, battery and idle rules. Your Live Map, pricing and reports cover them all together.

Do self-driving vehicles work the same way?

Self-driving shuttles and carts are in beta and run stop to stop on closed sites. They are set up as their own vehicle type, and only private fleets can use them.
